Christianity; boring, untrue, irrelevant?

Home groups

For the time being I am suspending mid week home groups and asking everyone to come together on Wednesday evenings. I shall call this ‘Wednesday Church’, and it shall be in Church. It has been a remarkable summer in witness, evangelism, unity among churches and healing, and there is no reason why this should stop. The format will be flexible and open so that we can respond quickly to the opportunities that God is giving us for mission. We shall worship, seek God, learn, pray and ask for healing. The Wednesday Church is of course open to all.

Also in common with many other Churches we have small groups who meet midweek, share news and concerns, pray and support one another and look at the Bible together. We encourage all who have done Alpha to join a group, and particularly if you have belonged to something similar before you may be interested in joining one of ours’. It is difficult in a large Church such as ours’ to get to know people and be known. Home groups are a large part of the answer.
